Protein Bars & The 20 Year Old Blender
B&W 2026 20/365
Okay, so today’s picture is just from the inside of my office. But we are leaving for Phoenix right after work, then fly to Chicago tomorrow, so I wasn’t sure if I’d have time to do a picture/post later.
Originally I was going to write a little blurb about switching my daily habit from Clif Bars to these really nice tasting protein bars from Costco.
But then I remembered that I just talked (in someone’s comments) the other day about how I once paid $500 for a blender, and wasn’t quite sure if it was 10x better than the $50 blender it replaced.
Well that Vita Mix is the $500 blender!
I bought it in 2006.
I think this answers my original question. I seriously doubt if a $50 blender would still be sitting on my office minifridge, able to actually blend a smoothie nearly 20 years later.
Oh speaking of things that are pretty old …
That bota bag hanging on the wall is one that I made in high school leather class sometime around 1984 or 1985. So over 40 years ago.
I don’t think I’d try to put liquid in it …
But the paint still looks pretty good after 4 decades and many moves.
Your turn:
Do you have anything around your house that you don’t register just how old it is until you really think about it?
Til next time,
Todd

It's funny, I always say "I can't draw or paint" very well. But somehow it looks like I did a pretty good job painting the character on this bag when I was 15 years old. Hmmm.
