Todd Takes Pictures

Who I am I am a former military (retired Air Force) and current civilian weather forecaster who lives in beautiful southeast Arizona. Whether it’s just my Pixel phone, or my Canon with a big lens attached, I pretty much always have a camera with me wherever I go.

We still have teenagers in the house, so we stay pretty busy. But I still try to get out in nature as often as possible, and I love to share the pictures that I take.

In 2026, I’m going to slow down, get outside more, and read more books. As such, look for about a post a week on this site (every Wednesday). I’ll try to keep the theme photography related, but sometime the pictures I take (or find in my archive) inspire other stories (so no promises).

I’m not approaching this as a business. For me it’s more a throwback to the old blogging days, and also a kinder, gentler way to scratch my social media itch.

So that’s what you’d get if you follow me. Some cool pictures, random stories, and maybe the occasional useful insight.

I’d be lying if I said it wouldn’t be great if thousands of people eventually read Todd Takes Pictures

But truth be told …

I’d also be happy if this whole endeavor just results in a few new friends
