Beautifully Complicated
B&W 2026 18/365
Life feels like this sometimes … a tangled, noisy mess. But if you just step back, you realize the chaos creates its own kind of pattern.
I mostly take “proper” photos that make sense when you look at them. But while I’m out on the trail searching for things like birds, wildlife, or interesting landscapes, I’ll often also takes shots of random plants, rocks, or in this case tree branches reflecting in the still river.
Later, when I’m home on the computer editing, these are the images that usually make me stop to think … about life and other things.
I can’t draw or paint very well. But these type of images are probably as close as I come to producing something in the realm of “art” with my camera, as opposed to just something easily recognizable as a photograph.
Your turn:
What kind of thoughts does looking at this image spark for you?
Til next time,
Todd

I see possibilities.
There are things in my life I choose to do and things I must do. Those are both in front of me.
But in between, there's space to explore.
This is a big year. I will find new things, discard old ones and become someone who is ready to look between the "right now" and see the possibilities of tomorrow.
