There was a time (not even terribly long ago) when I really wanted a Tesla.
Heck, as recently as 6 or 7 years ago I may have even defended (to my friends on Facebook) the “futuristic” design of the Cybertruck when it was first revealed.
But my, how things can change in a few short years.
This morning when it was announced that the Cybertruck was being discontinued after selling just a fraction of what Elon Musk originally predicted, my natural reaction was to smile. 😎
Don’t get me wrong, I do have a slight bit of guilt about taking joy in other’s misfortune. Not about Elon Musk (🖕).
But when I still lived in Texas, working in San Antonio and visiting my kids up near Fort Hood, I would often drive right past (on the 130 toll road east of Austin) the Tesla Giga Texas factory where these Cybertrucks are produced.
I feel bad for some of the factory workers who will lose jobs over this.
I still very much want to purchase and drive an EV one of these days.
But I can say with a fair degree of certainty that it will never be a Tesla.
Til Next time,

p.s. This is not intended to offend any of my friends who may own a Tesla (everybody is entitled to their preferences, and it really wasn’t that long ago that I wanted one too). Even if you own a Cybertruck, we can possibly still be friends, but just know, I will always question your judgement and taste. 🤣
Memories:
(A look back at post from around this time a year ago):

LOL...!! I have to agree. IMO, it's a hideous POS made by a company owned by an equally hideous POS 🤮
