Every Hike Doesn't Need An Elaborate Plan
A nice evening walk around the pond.
Sometimes we just make it too complicated
I had been lamenting that I hadn’t been outside enough this week.
… especially tragic since fall is by far my favorite season.
Something needed to be done.
I didn’t have the time to plan and execute a long hike in our wonderful mountains.
But I definitely had the opportunity to grab my camera and head over to my favorite little pond on Fort Huachuca to see what I might see.
That northern flicker image at the top was literally the 2nd picture I took.
But there was more …
This is one of the better “in flight” dragonfly images I’ve ever captured.
Or course there were turtles.
And other objects in the water.
The last thing I saw at the pond was this Great Blue Heron
Then on the way back to the car, I was treated to this whole flock of turkeys coming up over the hill.
This was definitely a “Todd Hike™” … I didn’t even break a sweat.
But I very much accomplished my goal of getting outside and enjoying some sunshine and wildlife. 😎
What is your favorite spot when you just need some quick fresh air?
Tell us about it …
Til next time,
Todd

Breaking news ....
I've just been informed that even though I got some nice pictures, due to the fact that I barely logged an extra 1000 steps out of it, it is in appropriate to call this a "hike".
Okay, it was a nice "Todd Walk™" around the pond. 🙃
