Frozen Lake Michigan
B&W 2026 23/365
It’s minus 20 with the windchill, but you’re only a mile and a half from Lake Michigan. Of course you’re going to get all bundled up to go see it. We were not disappointed. The beach was frozen, but were still waves and steam coming up off the water. The shot above worked for my B&W project. But one of the color shots is probably a little better for seeing what I’m talking about.
And then Kelly with her phone captured a picture of me capturing the picture above:
It shortly after this shot, then a couple of Kelly and her son on the beach that we ran back to the car because our faces hurt, and the fingers were starting to get numb through our gloves.
Your turn:
Would you venture out in extreme weather to see (and photograph) a landmark you haven’t seen before if it was that close by?
Til next time,
Todd

I used to live in Lake County, about 10 miles inland from Lake Michigan. Thanks for sharing these great photos of a truly Great Lake. 🥶🌊
My brother lives close to Lake Michigan!
