Let Sleeping Cats Lie

I’ve gotten in trouble for not making the bed quickly enough in the morning, and then “letting” the cats in so they might come in direct contact with the sheets.

This is apparently gross.

But if they come sleep on the top of the blankets after the bed’s been made, it’s somehow not as bad. To be fair, the person who has informed me about these “rules” would actually prefer if we didn’t have cats (or any pets) at all.

Oh, and speaking of making the bed …

Nearly three years into this endeavor, I continue to be baffled by the fact that the 10 extra pillows we have to put on the bed for it to truly be “made” have a very specific order and arrangement that I can never seem to exactly replicate.

The best I can ever hope for is a mild eye roll and an:

“Oh, at least you tried, that was close”.
