Oh man, I wish I had been someone who took more pictures back then.
The bartender days were brilliant. I was like 19 years old working at the NCO club on the base where my dad was stationed. The Tom Cruise movie Cocktail was in the theaters, so of course we wanted to emulate what we saw. We may or may not have broken a few bottles trying to spin and toss them back and forth to each other. (again, wish I had some pictures).
And in every one of your "accidental" situation, the couple was REALY luck to have to!
Thanks Chris.
Being a second shooter is the best gig in the world...beside bartending at a nightclub...and if you don't plan on making a living.
I'll happily put my 500 wedding experience to work as a second shooter! All fun and you don't have to say a word to anyone!
Funily enough, I was already a bartender (when I was a teenager and my dad was stationed in England), and yes, it was great fun!
I do have at least one photographer friend here in Arizona who occasionally shoots weddings. Maybe I will see if he ever needs a second shooter.
