We Got On an Airplane to Freeze Our Butts Off in Chicago ... But it was Worth It
Todd's World Weekly - Vol. 3
The big highlight of this week was our trip to Chicago for Evan’s graduation from Navy basic training. Traffic was a bit of a nightmare on the morning of the ceremony, but otherwise we couldn’t ask for this trip to be much better.
We stayed at the Great Lakes Navy Lodge, and since it was only a 10 minute drive from Lake Michigan, of course we had to go see it, even with -24 wind chill.
We then rewarded ourselves with some pan pizza at a place call The Silo in nearby Lake Bluff, IL.
I think I only wrote one other none B&W project post this week Mark for Mayor, but I already accidentally sent that out via email earlier in the week.
That about sums up things in my world. Here are are a few other posts, pictures and authors I found interesting
Around Substack this week:
This was had me reflecting on how the DOGE actions this past spring made me think about what I would do if I suddenly found myself an unemployed middle-aged white guy.
This is some good advice from Jeff:
Karen Povey is on a trip to Australia, and I’m really enjoying her pictures.
So how was your week? What’s New and Exciting?
Til next time,
Todd
